Questions

Before you book

Do you need my water and power?

No. The van carries its own water tank and generator, so nothing is run off your house. If you would rather we use your spigot, that is fine too.

How much space do you need?

About the footprint of two parking spaces: room to open every door and walk all the way around the vehicle. A flat driveway, a garage, or an office lot all work.

What happens if it rains?

We reschedule at no charge. Detailing in the rain produces work neither of us would be happy with, so we watch the forecast and call you the day before if it looks bad.

Can you come to my apartment complex or my office?

Yes, as long as the property allows it. Some complexes prohibit washing on site. Check with your office or leasing manager first, and we will work around whatever they say.

How long will it take?

A maintenance wash runs about an hour and a half. A full detail is most of a day. Paint correction is one to two days, because the polishing is the slow part and rushing it is how you get holograms.

Do I actually need paint correction?

Only if you can see swirls or haze in direct sun. Correction removes a thin layer of clearcoat to level the scratches, so it is not something to do every year. If the paint is already sound, a full detail is the better spend.

How often should I have the car detailed?

A full detail once or twice a year keeps most vehicles in good shape, with maintenance washes in between. Alabama pollen in the spring and love bugs in the late summer are the two times it matters most.

How do I pay?

Card, cash, or a payment app, once the work is finished and you have looked it over. Nothing is due up front for a wash or a full detail.

Tell us what you are driving.

Send a couple of photos and what is bothering you about it. You get a real number back, usually the same day.
